Learn To Do Things God’s Way

How many times have we heard “It’s my way or the highway”? We hear this from those who manage us at work or are otherwise in authority over us. And we do, ultimately, do it their way. Why don’t we take this same stance with God’s Word? Ultimately we’re going to do what God has asked of us. We take people at their word. Why not take God at His Word? We need to learn to do things God’s way from the start.

Yield to God’s Word

In Acts 9:1-3 we learn of Saul’s zeal and lust to bring harm to God’s children. He was amped up on the hype of the Pharisees and want to prove how well he fit into their club. But God had a different plan for Saul. He chose him as a messenger and even gave him a new name – Paul. Yield to God’s Word. In Acts 9:10-17 God speaks to Ananias through a vision and tells him to go and lay hands upon Saul that he may receive his sight. Ananias had concerns since he knew of Saul and how much harm he had brought upon God’s children. Nevertheless he yielded and did what God had instructed him to do.

Learn To Identify What Isn’t God’s Way

How many times have we felt the urgings of God to do something but we choose our own path? Did our path work for us? Probably not AND, ultimately, we end up doing it God’s way any how. Do things God’s way. Be yielded vessels unto Him for He will lead and guide us. Remember, if you don’t have peace about something you’re doing that’s the Holy Ghost telling you – don’t do that. We know when we’re in the world and things aren’t right. Let go of the world and yield to God’s Word.

Don’t just walk around lost. Open your eyes and follow God’s teachings and His Word. We need to be able to recognize when God is in demonstration and move with the Holy Spirit. Be led. Follow as the Spirit leads. Be able to move with the Holy Spirit. Remember. There’s a heaven to gain! The Word teaches us how to follow God and the Holy Spirit alerts us when we stray from the Word.

Learn to do things God’s way. The believers need to rise up and unify. Be ready, an awesome revival is about to break through.
