How to Draw Near to God
Matthew 5:1, Hebrews 10:22, James 4:7-8
When God comes to us in spirit, we need to draw near to Him. Draw near with a pure heart. In the book of James, we are told to Draw near to God and He will draw near to us.
Man is a spirit being. When we lay this body down, where will you be? In Heaven or? Drawing near to God means to walk in close fellowship with God. What is fellowship? Two people in a ship. You and Jesus together in fellowship. We need to fellowship with God. There are benefits to walking with God.
Psalms 103:1 Bless the Lord, O My soul. Do not forget His benefits. He forgives all our iniquities. He heals our diseases. When He forgives our iniquities, He makes us righteous. The closer we walk with God in fellowship, the more we hear His words. While we are here on earth, we should delight ourselves in fellowship with God.
