Trusting on God

Mark 6:4 tells us that Jesus went out and came to his own town.  He could not do any miracles there because of unbelief of those surrounding Him.  Unbelief can stop God’s hand.  Real faith is not timid.  Real faith releases God’s ability.  We are the righteousness of God’s authority.  We are to think highly of ourselves.  We must believe God for what we are in need of.

Judges 16:15  In the Old Testament Delilah mocked Samson. She finally wore him down and he told her the source of his strength.  Do not ever let a bad report or something negative to God’s word get you off base with God.  Negative thoughts are detrimental of you.  Even though you cannot see the evidence of what you are believing for, God can make it happen for you.

When we get our thinking in line with the word of God, we can have what God had promised to us.

1 Kings 5:9-10 9 Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.”

In the Old testament, man gave the instructions and God did the work.  Naaman’s body was covered with leprosy.  Naaman was instructed by man to go wash in the River of Jordan seven times and his skin would be restored.  Just washing in the river did not cleanse Naaman of leprosy, but because it was the instructions from God, and Naaman followed God’s instructions his skin was cleansed.
